Outreach Programs

4-H Outreach serves from 3,000-5,000 youth each year meeting at various schools, libraries, and youth centers on a monthly basis. We teach topics of agricultural and STEM that range from how plants are pollinated to electromagnetism and making robots or making Lip balm out of products found in agriculture. We have taught youth about liquid nitrogen and the effects of extremely cold temperatures as well as how infrared cameras are used by farmers to look at crop health. Programs are hands-on so each lesson is accompanied by a project they get to take home. We follow the experiential learning model where youth learn by doing.

Topics vary from month to month and to get a list of the upcoming time of programs and locations please email Patrick at ppulis@weld.gov.
