Nancy and Craig Johnson Scholarship
Tayven Richter, an 11 year 4-H member, first started in 4-H when he was 8 in the Drylander’s 4-H club with sportfishing. After this he switched to shooting sports and has participated in this ever since. His first year in shooting sports he did .22 rifle and it really sparked his love for that project. One of his main goals in 4-H was to qualify for the 4-H National Shooting Sports Competition, this turned out to be one of the most difficult challenges in his 4-H career. He finally qualified for Nationals in August of 2024 for air pistol, this was a very big achievement for him, one which he had put a lot of hard work and dedication into. Tayven is pursuing his Associate of Applied Science degree at Aims Community College, with plans to transfer to the University of Wyoming to complete his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Tayven is the recipient of the Nancy and Craig Johnson Scholarship.
