Weld County 4-H Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is a family-oriented celebration that sees all Weld County 4-H Clubs come together for a night of fun, prizes and of course food!  The event’s purpose is to raise funds for the Weld County 4-H Foundation.   In addition to the fun booths and food at Mardi Gras, we also host a silent auction that generates revenue for our 4-H Foundation.  The Foundation is the driving force behind all the 4-H programming here in Weld County.  Their working budget supports our members as they take advantage of the many opportunities offered to them in 4-H including leadership development, scholarships, education opportunities, travel, and competition.

Mardi Gras is just around the corner and all 4-H Clubs should be gearing up because "Back to 80's Party" is this year's Mardi Gras Theme.  Held on Saturday, November 18th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Mardi Gras is not only a fantastically fun social occasion, it is also our annual fund raising event for the Weld County 4-H Foundation!  Clubs will plan, decorate and run a carnival type booth with a "Back to 80's Party" theme.  There are lots of activities for kids from 1 to 101!  The evening ends with a family friendly dance held in the 4-H Building from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.

There are a million ways to get involved with Mardi Gras, sell pre-sell drawing tickets, BUY pre-sell drawing tickets, provide baked goods, volunteer to work a booth, compete in one of the fun contests, help construct booths, help your club leader plan, setup and decorate your booth!
