Kayla is the daughter is the daughter of Jay and Rene Kugler of New Raymer.  She is a senior at Prairie High School and is planning to attend Aims in Greeley or Laramie County Community College in Laramie, WY.  Her career goal that she is working towards is Medical Diagnostic Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech). She will get her prerequisites all done in the fall semester and then hopefully get enrolled in the ultrasound program and continue to take college classes at the same time until the program is done. With the certification, Kayla also wants to receive her associate's degree in applied science. After college, she wants to work in a local ER to be able to work with all different types of ultrasounds and then later in life transfer to a clinic for OBGYN.

Kayla is a 10-year member of the Prairie 4H Club.  In her ten years of 4H, she has done rabbits, chickens, poultry, horses, breeding beef, and ceramics. The projects that she created and expanded were rabbits, chickens, and breeding beef.  4H has also taught Kayla many things about herself and pushed her to where she is today. She has learned to like standing up in front of people giving short speeches and feeling confident in her abilities to do so.  Along with that, it taught Kayla citizenship skills such as debating topics, problem-solving, teamwork, and analyzing. Being in an organization of all different ages creates an opportunity for many different ideas and perspectives.  Offices she held in 4H were reporter, secretary, vice president, and president. She has been an officer since she was in junior high. Kayla been a reporter for one year, secretary for two years, and vice president for two years, and now serving her second year of being president. She loved all the different aspects of each position and all the responsibilities that lie within them. Each of them has its necessary role and is needed to be successful in any 4H chapter.

Kayla is the recipient of the Weld County 4H Foundation Scholarship.
