Norgren Family Memorial Scholarship

Shae is the daughter of Nolan and Jodi Stone of Eaton.  She is a Freshman at Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS and majoring in Agribusiness and Agriculture.  Then she is planning to receive a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Ag-Communications from Oklahoma State University and again participate on the Livestock Judging Team. Her long-term aspirations include pursuing a career in the Ag-pharmaceutical field, where she can contribute to the beef industry’s growth and development. Ultimately, she hopes to return to her family’s 300-head cow-calf ranch and become a part of its management. Throughout her journey, Shae will continue to actively serve my community and represent it as a young agriculturist. My goal is to uphold the 4-H motto, "To Make the Best Better."

Shae was an 11-year member of Country Boots & Skirts 4H Club and has been showing cattle since 2014. Her long-term aspirations include pursuing a career in the Ag-pharmaceutical field, where she can contribute to the beef industry’s growth and development. Ultimately, she hopes to return to her family’s 300-head cow-calf ranch and become a part of its management. Throughout Shae’s journey, she will continue to actively serve her community and represent it as a young agriculturist. her goal is to uphold the 4-H motto, "To Make the Best Better."  Shae takes immense pride in her family's history and legacy in Colorado, as a fifth generation native. Her family's deep roots in production agriculture have instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for agriculture.  In 2019, Shae achieved her dream of winning the Grand Champion Market Beef at the Colorado State Fair. It was her greatest 4-H accomplishment and a moment she’ll never forget. She spent months preparing her steer for the State Fair and had worked tirelessly to ensure that he was ready.  Looking back, Shae remembers how much hard work and dedication it took.  Winning Grand Champion was a dream come true, and a moment that will always hold a special place in her heart.  Livestock judging has been an integral part of Shae’s life. It has not only allowed her to develop her skill set but also provided her with the opportunity to travel and meet some amazing people along the way.  This experience has fueled her passion, and she is pursuing her judging career further at Butler Community College all thanks to 4-H.

Shae is the recipient of the Norgren Family Scholarship.
