4-H outreach has made its presence in a variety of venues including presenting the Energy of motion at Stockshow, being on a panelist for youth presenting pollinator projects at STEM Launch School, running various activities at Millikin Middle School’s week of Olympics, presenting the Van de Graff generator at Windsor Charter Academy’s Innovation night, presenting Cryogenics at Greeley’s YES Fest, teaching about Energy at CSU’s annual Ag Day, teaching youth about pollinators at Union Colony Elementary’s first Trunk or Treat event, and many others.

This session is sure to be ELECTRIFYING! This month we will solve real world issues and explore careers in energy. We will learn about renewal energy and use basic engineering skills to complete challenges, like building our own energy devices out of household items.
Pressing flowers is an old art and science. Youth will be able to learn this craft and make their own greeting cards while taking their own 3-D printed flower drying kit home. Unlike most pressed flowers which can take weeks to dry this microwavable one can dry in minutes.
Youth will learn how to use GPS technologies to go on a hunt to find a hidden treasure. Learn how GPS works and various applications.
In this session, youth will learn about the physics behind balance and center of gravity. Then they will test their knowledge by completing balance challenges with items like hammers, nails and rulers.
