David Sponaugle is the son of Rick and Teresa Sponaugle of Greeley. He is a 12-year member of Boxelder Ag 4-H Club and is currently in Archery. Other projects completed Cloverbuds, foods and nutrition, model rocketry, dog project and shooting sports, to name a few.
David is a Senior at the Colorado Heritage School System where he was placed on the President’s list at Aims Community College for completing more than 12 credit hours with a 4.0 GPA. Twice a month he helps deliver Weld County Food Bank boxes to Seniors.
4-H has taught David valuable leadership skills he would not have learned elsewhere. He’s held 3 different offices in his local club; Sargent of Arms, Treasurer and President. Through 4-H he’s learned integrity, responsibility, compassion and to take every opportunity to help those in need. It has helped him to learn and grow to become a person who is trustworthy, responsible, will be there for others and comfortable in a leadership role.
David will be attending the University of Wyoming studying to be a Mechanical Engineer, which is a natural fit for his Interests and background.
David is the recipient of the Weld County 4-H Foundation Scholarship.
