Mardi Gras is the sole fundraiser for Weld County 4-H Foundation. Through the years, it has provided approximately 20% of the Foundation’s annual operating revenue. Club involvement in Mardi Gras is essential if the Foundation is to continue to provide this level of support. Mardi Gras has a great history of success for both 4-H and the Community.
Weld County 4-H Mardi Gras is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year. Mardi Gras is open to the public from 3:00-9:00 p.m. This is a great way to spend the day with your family having fun and supporting the Weld County 4-H Foundation.
The Weld County 4-H Foundation has an annual banquet in April. At this banquet, distinguished Weld County 4-H Leaders and Scholarship Winners are recognized. The Foundation conducts its annual business meeting which includes a presentation from one of the Colorado International 4-H Youth Exchange (IFYE) delegates.
